Id like to move to japan in the future or as soon as I can. Id like to get some advice on what to focus on right now with regards to learning japanese as well as things i can do now to be able to get a job in japan in the future.
1. From what I know, JLPT japanese is very different from japanese used in everyday life. With this, should I be focusing on practicing speaking japanese? or studying to get a japanese language certification? What would be more valuable to companies?
2. I heard there is also the JFT test. If i will get certification is it better to get JLPT OR JFT
3. i am a third generation japanese and is qualified to apply for a long term resident visa, one big requirement is to get COE from an employer in japan. what are my best options to get work from japan? for context, I am a freelance artist (i also have a bachelors degree but not related to what i do noe). these are some of the options i could think of:
a. get an english teaching job and work freelance on the side then slowly create my client base in japan (but after reading some posts,i might not have time to do anything on the side, is this true?)
b. gain more experience in game art and get high level of japanese and then apply for a game company in japan
which one could be the better option? or do i have other options?
Thank you!
