Tokyo Itinerary Check (March 23-31)

This is my 2nd time in Tokyo (my first time was 7 years ago). I am going with my boyfriend, who is a first timer. We are doing just Tokyo and doing a lot of nerd-centric things because that is what he is mostly interested in.

**Sat March 23**

Land at Haneda at 5pm

Go To Hotel in Shinjuku and settle in

**Sun March 24**

1. Anime Japan (worlds largest anime convention)

* This is will basically take all day. Hopefully not too ambitious for a first day activity, but we didn’t know it was a thing until after we had booked our flight/hotel and figure its a once in a lifetime kind of thing to be able to go.

1. Tokyo tower

* hit this one the way back to Shinjuku to see it illuminated at night.

**Mon March 25**

1. Hie Shrine
2. Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden
3. Artnia cafe
4. Godzilla head in Shinjuku (and general Shinjuku area exploration)

* would like to go up to the roof – need to research

**Tues March 26**

1. Nakano Broadway
2. Animate Ikebukuro store (and general exploration of area)
3. Muscle Girls Bar

**Wed March 27**

1.Guided tour of Mt Fuji and Hakone

**Thurs March 28**

1. Ueno Park / Toshugu Shrine
2. Akihabara Nerd Shopping
3. Square Enix cafe for lunch
4. Monster Hunter Bar for dinner

**Fri March 29**

This is kind of a filler/flex day. I was originally going to try to get into a single act kabuki showing… but getting the tickets seem like they might be kind of a pain so not sure I want to bother anymore.

The only thing we have officially planned for this day is a dinner show near Akihabara.

Any other suggestions welcome.

**Sat March 30**

1.Gundam Base/Giant Gundam (don’t care to travel farther for Yokohama one)

2. Toys R Us Odaiba – bf wants to buy Digimon vital bracelet dim cards (I read this was best place to look, any better suggestions?)

3. Tokyo Joyopolis Arcade (could take or leave this)

**Sun March 31**

1. Shibuya Scramble/Hachiko etc.
2. Yoyogi Park

3. One hour taiko drum lesson

4. Shibuya Parco/Pokemon Center

*We fly home from Haneda at 5pm on the 31st… the last 2 days above could be interchangeable I’m not sure what the best course of action is:*

*1 – If we do Shibuya, we can fairly easily store our luggage at our Shinjuku hotel upon checkout and come back to get it before heading straight to the airport from there. (Also hoping to catch the Rockabilly dancers at yoyogi, who only meet on Sundays I hear)*

*2 – If we do Odaiba, we will already be a decent bit closer to Haneda already but bringing and storage our luggage there might be more of a pain.*

Opinions?
