Supremely grateful.. after 12 years of thinking we might never have children, my wife surprised me with the best news of my life.
I wanted to repay her love, sacrifice, and endurance with her dream trip to Japan during cherry blossom season.
I would love feedback or ideas on where to take her as she also loves sushi, hiking, and hot springs (but those may not be the most suitable with her pregnancy).
Currently I have booked only our plane tickets/hotels. We will be there from March 28 to April 9.
Grand Hyatt Tokyo – first 4 days of the trip and last 4 days
Hyatt Regency Kyoto – middle 4 days, although I am tempted to switch this with a local hotel in Kyoto.
Current floating ideas I have are: restaurants (nothing set but she loves ramen and tonkotsu cutlets), Nintendo or some other theme park, different cherry blossom festival, different animal parks and then I am stuck 😅
Feeling overwhelmed with joy and panic as the trip is so close and I have nothing planned.
