So for a couple months now, we’ve had construction happen on the road right next to my apartment building. They have the blue and white sign that says they are doing construction for like the next 8 months, and says it could be from 9am-3pm or 8pm-5am but doesn’t show what days of the week and I haven’t noticed a pattern for the days yet either, sometimes I will go outside and they will be there and sometimes not. They used to have enough space to let us with cars at the blocked off apartment drive out, just moving the blockage real quick. But last time I had gone out for an early appointment and came home at 10:30 am to see they completely blocked it off and had three huge trucks blocking one side, and the other was a giant hole that they were working on. Basically, I was blocked off from my parking and the construction guys just kept waving me along and so I had to go to a paid parking about 10 min walk away so I could go home. Now, I am worried about being blocked in before work, as sometimes I work at 10 or 11. And of course I don’t want to just waste money at paid parking everyday since I have my own spot. The fact that this is going to happen constantly for a long time is making me anxious as I pay for the parking spot and use my car to get to work since the train station is quite far to walk to. Does anyone know if there are certain days of the week they can do construction? Or if I ask the local police or my apartment agency what to do with my car?
