So my father in Germany has been restoring old bikes after retiring. Too old now, he sold most of them but still has one great looking piece. I would love to ride it here in Japan, but after doing a bit of research the cost of importing an older bike would be a few thousand Euros! Too much for my budget, but now the idea came up to take it apart and send it in several boxes as “parts” which apparently would be much cheaper. Anyone on here has ever done this, or knows of companies specializing in this? I mean, after importing, it still has to be registered and stuff. TIA
