I am looking for job opportunities in Japan. I’m in Tokyo now and working for Japanese company. I am using LinkedIn as a prime source for job search. I am bit worried about scammers. I have had couple of experiences but still not able to judge if it genuine or not especially the one that comes through DM or Network request. If anybody has experienced such scams please share your experience.

Not too sure about scammers. But here are my 2 yen.
1. Don’t apply when its “easy apply”
2. Don’t apply when its more than 100 applicants.
3. Don’t apply when it’s older than 3 months. Some companies never take down roles even though they are filled.
If you find a job at a company that interests you go to the company website and apply there.
I have never encountered a recruiter in Japan that didn’t suck. ever. And I am working with recruiters in Japan since 2005.
