Hey there, fellow adventurers! My friend and I are gearing up for our very first trip to Japan from the US, and we couldn’t be more stoked! We’re heading out in early March which is approaching fast and, to be honest, we’re feeling a mix of excitement and a tad bit overwhelmed. We’re all about making this trip as epic as possible, and but don’t want to be too optimistic with my itinerary. So, hit us up with your recommendations, stories, or just a friendly hello – we can’t wait to dive into this adventure with your help!
**Tuesday, March 5th – Shinjuku**
* **Hotel Gracery Shinjuku:** Check-in at 2:20 PM. Explore the area.
* We’re landing on this day after our longest flight ever, so we’re planning to take it easy, soaking in the vibes of Shinjuku and maybe exploring its nightlife if we’re up for it.
* **Highlights:**
* Godzilla Head
* GIANT 3D CAT
* Omoide Yokocho, Kabukicho, and Golden Gai
**Wednesday, March 6th – Akihabara**

**Thursday, March 7th – Shibuya/Harajuku**
* There’s so much awesomeness packed into these two places! Here’s a glimpse of what we’re aiming for.
* **Highlights:**

* ~~Mipig Cafe – Harajuku~~
* Zauo Shibuya (Looked like a really cool experience)
* ONE PIECE FITNESS BragMen (Saw on tiktok and I’m a huge One Piece fan)
* Shibuya Scramble Crossing
**Friday, March 8th – Odaiba/Asakusa**
* This day I had the most trouble planning for because my friend wanted to go to teamLabs but I couldn’t find many activities we wanted to do around the area. I planned to do TeamLabs at 9:30 then ride to Odaiba mainly to take pictures (Gundam, Statue of Liberty, etc.) but not stay for long. Finally I wanted to take the Hotaluna from Odaiba to Asakusa and do activities there. I don’t know how viable this plan is so I may cut out Odaiba if its too much.
* **Highlights:**
* teamLab Planets
* THE KISS (My friends tiktok find where we can engrave padlocks)
* Statue of Liberty
* Unicorn Gundam Statue
* Hotaluna: Water boat to Asakusa.
* Sensō-ji
* Nakamise-dori Street
**Saturday, March 9th – Yokohama**
* Really looking forward to the Cup Noodle Museum and giant Gundam!
* **Highlights:**
* Cup Noodles Museum Yokohama: Interactive museum.
* Yokohama Chinatown: Bustling neighborhood.
* Gundam Factory Yokohama: Gundam attraction.
* Yamashita Park: Waterfront park.
**Sunday, March 10th – DisneySea**
* Enjoy the whole day in Tokyo DisneySea!
* **Highlight:**
* Tokyo DisneySea
**Monday, March 11th – TBD**
* I haven’t figured this day out yet but I was contemplating taking a day trip to Kyoto but I’m not sure if that’s viable since they are so far apart. If not I may look for something else to do in Tokyo or maybe a guided tour to Mt.Fuji, definitely open to suggestions for this one!
**Tuesday, March 12th – Departure**
* No plans, just soaking in our last moments and saying our goodbyes before our evening flight
Our biggest concern so far has been figuring out transportation from our hotel to the events, especially with the language barrier. We’ve tried to plan activities within walking distance where possible, but any advice on navigating Japan’s trains would be a lifesaver as well!
Thanks a bunch to everyone who’s made it this far – your advice means the world to us! Let the countdown to adventure begin!
