Will be staying two weeks all over Tokyo and Kyoto but primarily in Shibuya and Nakano.
One of my favorite things to do here (TN, USA) is to hang out at a pub and listen to some live music on the weekends. Just a small place with indie groups or cover bands and some cheap beer.
I’d love to see if anything like that is popular while I’m there. Are live music places like that popular in Japan? What to look for? Any super obvious “must do” options?
Of course, tourist friendly would be ideal. Don’t want to intrude on a watering hole that would make the regulars feel uncomfortable. This can be rough even in the states so with a language barrier I can only imagine.
