Made ¥3.8m for 2023. How am I doing?

Yes, that is before tax and includes my travel expenses and two annual bonuses.

Been teaching for a nursery/preschool in the outskirts of Tokyo for 3.5 years and was made a permanent employee after year 2.

No teaching license.
No Japanese speaking ability beyond the pleasantries.

Just wanted to know how I should feel about my salary compared to all the other teaching gigs out there, especially within the preschool/nursery world.

**edit** Listen, I’m obviously not bragging (lol). Even someone who is making less than me can give me their opinion on my situation with the details and context I have laid out. They can still think it’s not enough. I’ve been in Japan 5 years and have done the Nova/Gaba thing myself. And for clarification, I’m asking about the job, not advise on my personal financial choices.
