Planning to move to Japan at 19.

I am currently 16 y.o studying in a highschool about graphics design in Slovakia.

I am planning to move to Japan after finishing highschool after may/early june 2026. My most likely chance of moving there would be with a Student VISA. So finding a university will be one of the most important things.

I am already studying japanese daily for around 2 months now (currently JLPT5). This week I also applied to get a job (only 20hs a week) alongside my school. So I don’t have to instantly find a job after I get to japan (planning to save most of the money, want to have atleast 8k saved up before japan – which i expect to last for atleast 3 months). And I’ve also been trying to study graphics design/coding at home because my school doesn’t teach me much. And I plan to get an online job at 19 before entering japan with the skills that I’m going to acquire over these 2 years.

The biggest problem I currently have is that I don’t know how I should be preparing for the university tests because I don’t know what university I want to apply to. The university should ideally be focused on digital graphics design. Location doesn’t really matter but would prefer Kyoto/ Tokyo. Though Tokyo is probably too expensive for me to live in while studying there and trying to pay rent. I also don’t know how to manage my time well as 20 hours of work during the week will take tons of my time + I still have to think about school, studying additional stuff and studying japanese.

I don’t care how hard it will be. I just need advice on how I could make it more possible to move there after highschool, I don’t mind changing the way I get a visa.
