Moving dollars/family to Japan?

Hello everyone, I am moving my family to Japan this summer (wife and son who are Japanese nationals) and I am staying behind in the US. A few things… I want to take advantage of the yen rate right now (150yen to 1 dollar). What is the best way to transfer 100k US to a Japanese bank account? Also, my wife will not be working and my son will be going to college, and I will pay all bills from the US or sending her the money each month. I make over 40million yen a year here and it would not be a responsible decision to leave this job. Will a rental agency give us a hard time for renting without her working? Will all of this money be taxable and will she need to pay taxes even though she’s not working and I am not living in Japan? I have more questions about this living arrangements if anyone has insight. I know it sounds like a “movingtojapan” post and it is, which I also posted there, but I also need insight on the financial aspect. Thank you.
