So, I will be moving to Tokyo for work from Osaka next month, so I’m switching subreddits now!
I was thinking about asking you guys a bit before I do so to not mess up. It would suck to move, and later discover the ward nextdoor would have been way better for some reason.
My company is like a couple minutes north of Tokyo Tower (Shimbashi Station). I’ll be looking to pay around 9 or 10万円 for a 1K-1LDK マンション, so that pushes me out from there, since I don’t want to pay that much and live in an actual shoebox. (EDIT: I consider a place too small if its under 25sq/m!)
Since I’m a filthy weeb as well, I was thinking about moving to Akihabara or surrounding areas (since its like 20-30 minute ride from work, and places seem to be priced more reasonably).
One area that caught my eye is Asakusabashi. Is that sensible? Or should I avoid that area and go to some other area for some reason?
TLDR: Weeb moving from Osaka to Tokyo, seeking a nice place within a 30-minute train ride from Tokyo Tower.
