I will be traveling to Tokyo and staying there for 6 days, Mar 28 – Apr 2. Would appreciate advice for my itinerary!
I’m travelling with my familly and planning to book airbnb near Shinjuku station. It is our first time visiting Japan, and we scheduled the trip at the end of March because it is estimated that the [peak cherry blossom](https://livejapan.com/en/article-a0001033/) will take place around end-March.
### Mar 27
Travel to Tokyo, arriving at Haneda airport at ~4pm local time, and check-in to airbnb
Dinner around Shinjuku Kabukicho. Explore around Shinjuku station
### Mar 28
Day time:
Ueno Park -> Tokyo Musuem (if time allows) -> Senso-ji Temple
planning to grab some cute photos of the cherry blossom in Ueno Park 🙂
Lunch around Senso-ji Temple
Night time:
Get dinner around Tokyo Skytree
Tokyo Skytree for a night view of the city, stroll around Akihabara
### Mar 29
Tokyo Tower – planning to do a lot of photo shoots!

Go to Zojoji Temple and Minato City Shiba Park which are around Tokyo Tower, grab lunch nearby, then go to Kokyo Gaien National Garden.
End the day with dinner and shopping around Ginza
### Mar 30
Meiji Jingu -> Yoyogi Park -> Yoyogi Hachimangu Shrine -> Nezu Museum (if time allows)
Go to Shibuya Sky around subset time https://www.shibuya-scramble-square.com.e.apy.hp.transer.com/sky/ticket/ . Have dinner nearby and walk around Shibuya at night time. Explore the bars around there.
### Mar 31
Head to Lake Kawaguchi early morning (~2hrs on the road).
Hop on a boat around the lake ([Ensoleille Excursion Ship Pleasure Boat Kawaguchiko](https://maps.app.goo.gl/ewtV7xqQervmGmQy5)) -> lunch -> Kawaguchiko Tenjozan Park -> Kawaguchiko Music Forest Museum -> Oishi Park
Take a walk around the lake at night time.
### Apr 1
Catch early morning Mount Fuji at ~7am, Kawaguchiko-ohashi Bridge -> Sengen shrine -> Fujiyoshida -> Oshino Hakkai
As I understand it, Fujiyoshida is a small town. So I’m planning to head to Yamanakako if we have a lot of time in the afternoon.
### Apr 2
Day trip to Kamakura
lunch around Shichirigahama Beach -> Komachi-dori Street -> Tsurugaoka Hachimangu -> Enoshima
### Apr 3
Checkout and leave Tokyo.
I’m planning to stay 1 night at Lake Kawaguchi to catch a view of Mt Fuji in early morning, but because the [Fuji forcast](https://fuji-san.info/en/index.html) can only estimate the visibility 1 week ahead, I’m planning to book the hotel/airbnb when I get to see when there will be good whether – but will this be too late given the popularity of the spot?
Also because both Lake Kawaguchi and Kamakura can see Mount Fuji, I plan to shift the schedule of these 2 places to dates when there are good weather.
