As a beginner, I found this website called “Minato” to be very helpful. Almost all of the courses on here are free, which is a bonus. There’s self-study courses for different levels, such as “A1” and “B2.” You can even filter your searches, looking for things like: reading, writing, (learning) Kana, speaking, etc. It’s not just for English speakers, either. You can learn Japanese in French, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, and so on.
