Hello JapanFinance, this is my first post. A friend of mine who has a small company here in Tokyo is bringing a franchise store (Food industry) from overseas to Japan sometime this year. I am planning to invest in the business with this friend. We pretty much nailed down all the details (Location, shares, loan…etc). My friend has drafted the contract, however, I want to be extra cautious about this. Reaching out to this sub and see if anyone knows any English/mandarin speaking lawyer that they worked with in the past that you recommend who can help me review the contract and perhaps some advice.
