I’m specifically interested in exploring the historical influence of Western music, particularly black music, in Japan from the years 1941 to 1990. Additionally, I’d like to delve into the realm of Japanese pop music during the 1960s to 2000s.
Given the backdrop of World War II and the subsequent presence of the United States in Japan, I’m eager to understand the dynamics of how music may have played a role in connecting cultures, both positively and negatively.
