I have my PayPay account linked to SoftBank, and use it to top up my balance. I usually add ¥20,000 to my balance each month, but have recently been getting these outrageous statements at the end of the month, ranging between ¥50k~70k. Before using PayPay, my monthly bill at SoftBank used be a little less than ¥24k, for both mobile and home wifi. Why?? Is there a service fee with PayPay that I’m not aware about? I have no idea where these changes are coming from, and I can’t find an option that lets me view my transaction history on the app.

PayPay app > Home (bottom left) > All (bottom right) > History (7th category from the top) > History.
Analysis under the same category could be useful to look at as well.
I mean the PayPay app isnt going to tell you why your Softbank bill is more expensive, unless youre using PayPay 後払い by mistake. In which case itll automatically be taken from you connected payment means.
You arent being ripped off, but youre more than likely misunderstanding something.
Did a campaign you had with your phone/internet recently end perhaps? Do you often call people from your phone?

Sounds like you should check your Softbank statement for details. I see my home/mobile charges from my MVNO page, it certainly raised when some campaign discounts expired.
