Hello, after my last trip to Japan where I explored Nishinari-ku, I became fascinated with some of the bars and night life in the area of Sanno Ichiba Dori Shopping Street (山王市場通商店街) & Dobutsuenmae Ichibangai Shopping Street (動物園前商店街) where there were lots of bars (some doing karaoke) that looked like they could only seat 4-5 people and looked very lively and fun. However due to its proximity with some very notorious night life areas (We all know the one) and its seemingly large yakuza presences I was too intimidated to enter any of these places. I saw more than one place where the men inside were having fun but wearing suits with badges on them.
I wanted to ask if there was any etiquette when it came to entering these places and joining in, maybe asking if there’s enough space to enter and any other information that comes to mind.
