Which city should I stay for 3 months in Japan?

Hi there, I hope this post isn’t against the rules, I did quite a bit of research on the cities I’m interested in but I still have some questions so I hope members here could enlighten me.

Basically, I’m a nomad and would like to spend 90 days in Japan. Won’t really be working, won’t need to apply for a job or anything, will just handle my personal business now and then.

I’m looking for something in between a really big city (Tokyo) and complete rural japan. A city with enough english speaking people, good infrastructure and amenities, but a bit cheaper and not as dense as Tokyo. Some cities that come to mind are Osaka, Kobe, maybe Naha. Any tips on where should i go?

I’ve been struggling to find available accommodations. I need a place that is reasonably sized (80m2 and above), one bedroom, modern, silent and with all amenities. On airbnb there isn’t much choice and I’m against using airbnb anyway. Hotels are not ideal as they do not have a kitchen. Any tips on where to look?
