My husband and I, both in our late 50s have signed up to join a bus and Shinkansen tour from Tokyo to Mt Fuji in 10days time. Will it make more sense to pay a little more and do a private, customisable tour? We might not get another chance during this trip to have a Shinkansen ride as we are there for a short time, and primarily for a conference.
If a private tour is good too, which are the must -sees around Mt Fuji? We enjoy nature, culture and temples/shrines very much.
