Been doing a lot of researching the past few months about investments and trading and I wanted to see about finally dipping my toe in the water. Initially from what I had read, TD Ameritrade was one of the better broker options for US citizens living abroad, but they don’t appear to offer services to those of us living in Japan.
So I’m curious for any of those of you who have started trading since living in Japan, which broker did you go through? Is there one you prefer? Are there any I should avoid like the plague? Also is there any advice you would give specific to trading from Japan (aside from the obvious risk management, diversified portfolio, and other various bits of common beginner trading advice)?
Would appreciate any knowledge and or experience you’d be willing to give.
