I’ve searched the sub for recommendations but would love more current feedback if available.
Three of us adults will be traveling from Osaka to Hiroshima for only one night before heading to Tokyo.
Our only must see in Hiroshima is the Peace dome so we figure it will be a relaxing day.
Finding a one night alternative to our chain hotel stay in Japan would be a fun break.
But, are there good ryokans with onsens that are convenient to the train station ?
I saw Isowa and it looks divine but inconvenient for just one day since it looks like we have to go by ferry. Since we are only going for the Peace dome we can presumably arrive mid morning, see the dome then spend the rest of the day at Isowa, but the ferry is still daunting for transport.
Google has given some options but it looks like the term ryokan is used rather loosely by some places to simply mean an inexpensive hotel room with paper thin walls.
