First time visitor, how’s my itinerary?
My wife and I are visiting in early May for the first time.
We are absolutely psyched as Japan is on both our bucket lists and now we’re coming 🙂 🙂 🙂
Planned itinerary below, any feedback? Suggestions of things we’ve missed and should see do? (I’ll preempt that by saying my wife doesn’t like hiking).
Day 1: Tokyo, not alot, check in, get food, relax
Day 2: Shibuya, Ueno park, hachiko statue, Godzilla hotel, general wander, see what we see
Day 3: day trip to Nikko
Day 4: Kamakura and Yokohama
Day 5: Mt Fuji
Day 6: thrifting in machida, nagayama, kichijoji
Day 7: bullet to Oska
Day 8: Universal Studios
Day 9: Osaka Aquarium, travel to Kyoto
Day 10: Bamboo forest and monkey hill and just wander
Day 11: Kyoto wander then Bullet back to Tokyo
Day 12: hopefully sumo tournament (if we can get tickets)
Day 13: chill out before flying home at 5pm
Considerations not added to itinerary would be:
Observation deck, sumo museum, yebisu garden palace, similar Edo kiriko museum, sake and shochu info center, sake plaza
What have we missed?
Anything we should cut from our plan?
Is it realistic?
Can you get Bullet train from Tokyo to Nikko?
Should you book Aquarium tickets in advance?
Any notes at all?
Please help us make our bucket list visit as amazing as it can be
