Salary inquiry: is ¥1,200 per hour okay in Tokyo

Hello, I apologize in advance if this post is not allowed here. I would just like to know your opinions.

I’m currently not in Japan, but my sister, who resides there, has helped me look for job opportunities. I was interviewed recently and received an offer for a position as a preschool English teacher in Tokyo (my sister lives in the province). The offered pay is ¥1,200 per hour. I must note that I lack prior experience as a preschool teacher, and I do not hold a bachelor’s degree in Education (but I have a degree in Psychology). Considering these factors, I just need advice on whether accepting this opportunity, with its given pay, would be enough. I also would like to add that living here in the Philippines, I’ve been financially supporting my elderly parents, so the salary I’ll receive is not solely for my personal expenses.

Also, I do not think the employer will be shouldering any other expenses when I get there.

Thank you very much.
