There’s nothing specific on the 国土交通省 about getting a CPAP through airport security. There’s documentation on lithium powered machines but that’s about it. TSA and other government orgs usually have literature on the process, but couldn’t find anything specifically related to Japan. Since its a medical device, I’d prefer to keep it in the bags instead of out in the wild for the check of course.

When I flew with my kid’s CPAP, I believe there were some forms to fill out. I think we also contacted the airline in advance too.
They were very accommodating.
