Are convenience store ratings important?

I know I sound like a goober, looking at ratings of Japanese convenience stores near our hotel, but I don’t want to go to a relatively sketchy one, and a lot of them have a lot of 1 stars on Google reviews. Is there a threshold I should look for, or am I just being paranoid?
