Hello everyone, I have a question regarding the ferry from Matsuyama to Hiroshima. This February me and some friends will be going to Japan for the first time and we’re very excited. I speak a tiny bit of Japanese and can understand it a little better. Because of this, I’m in charge of all things communication.
We’re going to be cycling the Shimanami Kaido from Onomichi to Imabari and then proceed to Hiroshima afterwards. I thought going by ferry would be the most efficient and also a nice change from all the shinkansen rides. Now I see on the website you can only reserve tickets by phone. I’m a bit nervous about this. So for anyone who has done this: what’s the best way to go about this? Do they speak any English? Is there any other way to book the tickets? Any advice and experiences would be appreciated.
