Headed to Japan next week and I have a whole day to get from Hiroshima to Tokyo.
I’ve considered stopping in Kyoto for the Inari shrine or Himeji for the castle, but I really enjoy photographing/filming machines and scenery over…. well, crowds.

I figure I can use webcams to see if the volcano is even visible or if it’s obscured by clouds in the morning and a take a cab out to the fields for a few hours of shooting trains.
How would you recommend getting to such an obscure location? Order a taxi? Are there rideshares I can rely on? The location is so odd, I am most comfortable dropping a pin on a map and having that tell a driver where I want to go, do any of you have any recommendations?
