I’ve been looking for these types of bowls everywhere. Can anyone help?

1. I’ve had success finding bowls that are smaller for miso soup or rice, or the porcelain bowls, but I’ve been scouring google for bigger bowls for donburi, with the lid, without success. These bowls appear to be plastic, but may be urushi (lacquered) however I think that unlikely. I’d prefer the plastic anyways, but either way, I can’t find

2. I’d guess they would probably be called a donburi bowl, if that helps with your search efforts. As for where to buy, that may depend on where you live as to which shops may be more ideal to recommend

3. Most likely find on Amazon and perhaps international Rakuten.

   Also, it may require a road trip, but Mitsuwa Market would have them.

   The search term should be like “どんぶり　蓋” JFYI.

7. This bowl has very similar proportions though different style:

   It’s made by Fukui Craft, a large producer of kitchen supplies

   In the catlog its 6-259-3, it looks like Fukui craft may have been bought, and their parts renumbered. So that style may have been cut.
