Potential cost of expensive medication (Humira) ?

My wife and I are considering a move to Japan, and our research/planning process is getting hung up on one important consideration:

\- I take Humira (adalimumab) for Crohn’s disease, 40mg once weekly;
\- We are trying to determine what the maximum monthly financial burden might be on our household;
\- Essentially, we’re attempting to determine the worst-case scenario and assess whether that’s a show-stopper for our transition to Japan;
\- We’ve spent a lot of time searching around, and we’re finding a lot of conflicting and complex information.

Many resources suggest that our maximum monthly burden (via our obligatory participation in the NHI system and programs that limit monthly burden) would be something like $500-600 CAD a month… which sucks but is tolerable.
\*Based on my income as an individual being around ¥250,000

Some of the most conflicting information, however, (such as some posts on Reddit) claim that Humira is not covered by NHI (a claim that seems to be contradicted by various official sources), which suggests that I could be paying out of pocket for every injection. That would be unsustainable.

**With all that in mind… my main question is:**

Who can I talk to in Japan (now, from Canada) that would be able to give me a definitive answer on this?

Surely, there must be some consultancy service (I don’t mind paying for expert guidance) or public office that has definitive answers?

Maybe a service like: [https://japanhealthinfo.com/](https://japanhealthinfo.com/) ?
\*I can’t find much info on them… not sure if it’s legit.

Any guidance you folks can provide would be appreciated
Thanks in advance
