I am just looking to have people share their favourite moments in NJPW. Part of the reason I ask is that I want to learn more about NJPWs history before I got into it, which is sometime before the late 2010s.
I already have a list of people’s favourite matches that standout, but I won’t say no to more additions that people like haha! But I am mostly looking for moments whether in the ring or out of the ring. Whether they’re huge moments or tiny one off moments that might have happened during a random tour perhaps? To promote discussion i’ll give an example of my own of each.
Big: Jay White’s mental break after WK15. Speaking of Jay White, him beating Kenny was (somewhat) early on in my time of being a NJPW fan, so it stands out as a historic moment for me personally. If i’m not mistaken, it also acts as a way for Page and Omega to have a negative interaction, sowing the seeds for a bit of bullet club disarray. (And maybe even had a part in the forming of AEW?)
Small: The interactions between Dangerous Tekkers, Bishamon and Naito/SANADA during the tag title chase from each of them.
