Investment advice > 2 yr US bonds at SBI vs US dividend paying stocks

I am looking into buying stocks now that we have a little extra money. I previously have stock investment experience, but only with mutual funds.

My wife and (besides are NISA account) are looking into buying US stocks. We don’t have a current broker, our NISA is at MUFG.

I see recommendations for Rakuten, Monex and SBI.

We don’t particularly need an online option as we won’t be actively buying and selling online \[ concerns about security issues, language issues – financial for my wife, linguistic for me)\]. Which broker would you recommend for this? I did notice SBI advertising 2 yr US bonds paying 4.8-6.8% (minimum 1000 USD buy in).

Would other brokers have access to the same bonds or something similar?

We are looking at a relatively small investment to start, say 200,000 Yen. Any suggestions?

Been trying to ascertain

\-minimum deposit needed to open a trading account

\-opening/monthly charges

\-trade fees

\-exchange fees (Yen to USD and USD to Yen)

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
