I’m currently doing my EE undergraduates with a focus on Machine Learning and robotics. I’ve always seen that Japan has had a pretty good robotics sector, and since I was interested in robotics I wanted to work there.
But, lately, it seems that Japan has fallen behind in the STEM field compared to other countries. ALl the major breakthroughs, research and viable products of AI and robotics seem to come from USA or China. Is Japan not doing good in those sectors? Will it be a bad idea to move to Japan if I want to work in those fields in the near future?
