Tried and true hack: how to properly store leftover sushi so the rice stays soft

What you’ll need:
-A container with a tight fitting lid
-Paper towel

Take enough paper towel to line the bottom of your container. Wet the paper towels until they’re fairly damp, but not drenched with water. Line the bottom of your container with it.

Arrange your leftover sushi and close the lid. Store it in the fridge. Let it sit out on room temp for a bit before you eat them.

I found this technique really helps with preventing the rice to become rock hard. It won’t be as good as fresh of course, but it does help a LOT.

Please eat your sushi the very next day, do not store it for 3-4 days. I don’t want to be responsible for y’alls food poisoning cases.

Let me know if any of you try this one out. I’ve been doing it for months and it works every time for me.
