Osaka. Would You Rather Stay at a Hotel Near Shin-Osaka Station or Dotonbori Area?

I’m debating on dropping my bags as soon as I get to Osaka or carry them while to Osaka Castle then to Dotonbori Area.

Are there lockers at the station near Osaka castle?
