I’m planning to ride the Shinkansen tomorrow (3/11) around noon from Okayama Sta. to Tokyo Sta. When I looked up the schedule a few minutes ago, the SmartEX app and Google Maps are showing “significant delays” around the Kansai area that started today (I think). The JR West page says this is due to obstructions on the overhead lines.
I’m just wondering if anyone took the Shinkansen today around the Kansai area and whether you experienced delays, and if so, about how long? I’m planning to leave several hours earlier than I should need to, but I need to be in Tokyo by a certain time at night.TIA
