So I just bought my reserved seats for the shinkansen from Tokyo to Osaka at the ticket office and didn’t really think twice about how cheap the tickets were. I now realised I bought the express pass without paying for the base fare.
My question is, am I able to pay the base fare at a different time and use it for the tickets I already paid for? I’m concerned that I just wasted a lot of money.
