Travel itinerary and questions

Hey everyone! I’m planning to travel to Japan this August with my girlfriend. We are decent runners so walking a ton shouldn’t be too bad. (I’ve wanted to go to Japan for ten years, so excited). Let me know what you think, we are in semi-early planning.

Day 0 – August arrival in Osaka around 5pm. Going to the hotel for check in, stopping at a local restaurant for some ramen, then going to sleep.

Day 1 – Osaka Highlights Walking Tour 7.5hrs (English guide)

Day 2 – Taking train to Nara early, spending a few hours there, feeding and bowing to deer. Going back to Osaka.

Day 3 – Traveling to Kyoto, doing a Bento cooking class and have a semi-empty day (some parks near the hotel)

Day 4 – Kyoto Full Day Bus Tour (The most touristy day) – 9hrs. Eating and enjoying the night atmosphere.

Day 5- Very early Bullet Train to Tokyo (Can I take luggage 1-2 per person?) early check in luggage, Tokyo skytree and Kirby Cafe

Day 6 – Mt. Fuji day trip (10hrs). Eat dinner and sleep in Tokyo.

Day 7 – Shibuya and Shinjuku, enjoying city. (National Art Center, Planetarium (skippable) Nintendo Tokyo, One piece store

Day 8 – Akihabara – I know I want to go, but I don’t know exact places to visit.

Day 9 – Possible Day trip to Kamakura and Yokohama

Day 10 – Pokemon Cafe and center, relax

Day 11 – Tokyo Disneyland

Day 12 – Tokyo DisneySea

Day 13 – Fly home

I think I have a good mix of traditional stuff and nerdy fun. Also, Day 0, 3, and 10 are relaxing enough that it’s not too much. If you have any recommendations, let me know.

Budgeting around 10,000 for two people, but if there is any advice to get that down to around 8,000 (flights are looking to be 3,000 currently) I’d love to hear it. Thanks!
