Planning a trip sometime in May for 7 days. Traveling with mom who is looking for a relaxed trip (thus chose to visit Kyushu). I would greatly appreciate any suggestions and recommendations on my current plan. Thank you so much!!

* Return to Fukuoka for dinner, walk around

* **Day 2 (Fukuoka)**
* Dazaifu trip
* Dazaifu Tenmangu
* Tenkai Inari Daimyojin Shrine
* If time: Kanzeonji Temple, Kamado Shrine
* Back to Fukuoka, visit Daimyo, yatais
* Stay in Fukuoka
* **Day 3 (Fukuoka>Nagasaki)**
* Train to Nagasaki. Was considering the Nishi Kyushu shinkansen or the Two Stars 4047 (any experiences with the D&S train?)
* Check into hotel
* Atomic bomb museum and peace park
* Walk around city
* Mt. Inasa by sunset
* Stay in Nagasaki
* **Day 4 (Nagasaki>Kumamoto)**
* Meganebashi bridge
* Chinatown and Dejima
* Glover garden and Oura church
* Train to Kumamoto
* Kumamoto castle (any other things I should do in Kumamoto?)
* Stay in Kumamoto
* **Day 5 (Kumamoto>Takamori>Kurokawa)**
* Pick up rental car
* Trip to Takachiho Gorge and Shrine
* Drive to Kamishikimi Kumanoza Shrine
* Drive through Mt. Aso
* Drive to Kurokawa Onsen by dinner
* Stay in Kurokawa
* **Day 6 (Kurokawa>Beppu)**
* Onsen pass
* Depart Kurokawa Onsen
* Drive through Kuju Mountains
* Arrive in Beppu to return car
* Hells (I have heard mixed opinions about the Hells, is there anything else I should explore rather than these?)
* Stay in Beppu (ryokan suggestions?)
* **Day 7 (Beppu>Yufuin>Fukuoka)**
* Jigokumushi Kobo Steam Cooking Center
* Train to Yufuin
* Walk around, eat, Floral village
* Lake Kinrinko
* Train back to Fukuoka via Yufuin no Mori

Just some questions in addition to the ones above:
1. Mom is pescatarian so she won’t be able to eat chicken, pork, beef, horse, etc. Could these be accommodated by the ryokans we stay in like Kurokawa?
2. I am an experienced driver but have not really driven in mountainous areas with winding roads. Should I be worried about my driving route?
3. Please let me know if I am being too ambitious or should add anything to the itinerary. Thank you again!
