“up to” being the key word here.
The charge is from 100yen to 2000yen, depending on nightly hotel cost which are divided in to five brackets – starting at under 5001yen, and going all the way up to over 100,000yen.
No idea where the breaks are, but with 2000yen being the upper limit, it looks like something you’re only going to pay once you hit very high accom. costs – at which point you probably won’t care about an extra 2k on top of a 50/60/100k per night room.
