Itinerary Help: 5 Days in Hokkaido

hello everybody! i will be solo traveling to Hokkaido in late March for 5 days, and feel a bit nervous about my itinerary mostly because i won’t be renting a car and will be relying entirely on public transportation. i’d appreciate any inputs on if i’m doing my itinerary right and how i could make the most of my time in Hokkaido before heading to Tokyo.

day 1:
– arrive at CTS at 16:00
– check into hotel
– explore Odori Park and Sapporo TV tower
– visit beer museum

day 2:
– day trip to Otaru (question: what is the best mode of public transportation to go to Otaru from Sapporo? how long would it take?)
– spend the day there and return to Sapporo in the evening

day 3:
– day trip to Noboribetsu, hike Jigokudani, go to the Bear Park (question: what is the best mode of public transportation to go to Noboribetsu from Sapporo? how long would it take?)
– spend the day there and return to Sapporo in the evening

day 4 and 5:
– go to Biei, this is my non negotiable. it’s what i’ve dreamed of. i found the perfect accommodation in Biei that i would want to stay in for at least three nights but because i don’t have enough days to cover the other places, i’m almost forced to book it for only two nights. still, i’m willing to settle for that much time, however, my two concerns are transportation – 1. how do i get to Biei if i’m relying on public transportation only 2. i need to get back to Sapporo the next day (day 6) to catch a flight to Tokyo at 3 PM. would i be cutting it too close?

day 6 :
– travel from Biei to CTS
– arrive at airport at 12:15
– flight from CTS to Tokyo at 15:15

is it crazy that i’m traveling from Biei to Sapporo on the day of my flight? should i cut back or change my itinerary in any place?
