Hey guys, I am planning a second trip back to Japan later this November/December as a solo trip (November 24 – December 15). My first Japan trip was a few months ago back in October as it was a family trip. However, this time I want to hit some spots that are more out of the way, as well as go back to some that I couldn’t fully experience. I have a few ideas in mind of where I would like to go, but I would appreciate any additional recommendations as I plan to do this solo trip for a good 2 to 3 weeks.
This is what I did last time:
Tokyo
\- Asakusa/Tokyo Skytree (Nakamise St, Senso-ji, Sumida Park, Solamachi Mise)
\- Tsukiji Fish Market/Imperial Palace
\- Akihabara (Square Enix Cafe)
\- Harujuku (Meiji Jingu, Takeshita St, Omotesando)
\- Ikebukuro (Sunshine City)
\- Shibuya
\- Shinjuku (Kabikicho, Gyoen National Park)
\- Yokohama (Gundam Factory, World Porters, Cup Noodle Museum)
Kyoto
\- Arashiyama Monkey Park & Bamboo Forest (Tenryuji)
\- Kiyomizu Dera
\- Gion District
\- Nishiki Market
\- Fushimi Inari
Osaka
\- Osaka Castle
\- Shinsaibashi
\- Dotonburi
\- Universal Studios
Hiroshima
\- Atomic Bomb Dome/Peace Museum
\- Miyajima Island
So far this what I have on my itinerary so far
\- Tokyo (3-4 Days)
\~ Roppongi
\~ Akihabara (to check more anime stores)
\~ Odaiba
\~ Disneyland/Disney Sea (2-3 Days)
\~ Day Trip to the Studio Ghibli Museum
\~ Hakone (2-3 Days)
\~ Enoshima/Kamakura (2-3 Days)
So yeah, any further recommendations would be awesome. I would also appreciate advice for whether to explore more of the west side of Japan (Himeji, Kobe, Fukuoka) or go east (Sendai, Aomori, Sapporo)
