Moving from Canada to Japan checklist and tips

Hello,Me(33yo French) and my wife (32yo Japanese) are planing to move the Japan before the end of the year if possible (I want to apply for Canadian citizenship before, the process should start in July when I have enough days accumulated)

I’m starting to look at what the moving implies and what would be the best things to do in order to do the transition smoothly.Specially regarding Taxes, Finance, Banking, Administration etc. Does anyone as ressources to look into or tips and experience to share regarding that?I have a RRSP and TFSA, I own a place in Montreal that I’m renting, and we own a business to combine our freelancing incomes right now as we work for internationnal clients. We are planning to continue the same job in Japan, perhaps we will have to create a company there too?

Any input and opinion is good to take 🙂 and we will also contact a Japanese accountant to see what to do.Thank you!
