Itinerary Check for early April with kids

Hi all,
I’m going to Japan with my family from April 2-13. We are two adults and an 8 year old and a 5 year old. Both my kids are fairly good travelers and have a lot of stamina. I am kind of at a loss about Kyoto and wondering if I can fit in a half day in Osaka (or if that would be worth it). Let me know what you think. If you have any tips or things you think we shouldn’t miss let me know. Thanks!
