12 day, first time, solo trip to Tokyo for American man in my 30s. Early Itinerary Check.

Hey Everyone. About 2 weeks ago I got clearance to take my first big international solo trip. I’m a male, in my 30s and heading there for what is essentially Golden Week. But I am staying almost exclusively in city in Tokyo so I’ve heard Golden Week shouldn’t be too bad.

But note I’m intentionally stacking Disney stuff on my first two days to dodge Golden Week crowds (and tickets are cheaper). I also could give or take Disneyland, but Disneysea is a must do.

I’m looking for any advice on this schedule, anything that crosses your mind, hotel suggestions, restaurants, entertainment or parks I’m missing. I’m nothing but excited and looking for tips based off what I have below!

\- Arrive at HND airport at 5am.

\- Travel to Tokyo Disney area

\- Check BAGS early at hotel in Tokyo Disney Vicinity

**Day 4**

Sunday April 28th

\- Ideally see the Yokohama DeNA Baystars vs Giants game in Yokohama (I want to see a Baseball game on this trip, there are also 3 games at the Tokyo Dome May 3rd to 5th I’m open to.)

\- Cup Noodles museum? Is that a tourist trap?

Here are a list of the things I’m really hoping to do or see on this trip, not mentioned above…

\- Tons of food obviously, I don’t have any appointments or must see foods or places, would like to have a couple in my back pocket.

\- Local parks. Not sure I plan to get out of town, but an afternoon in say Koishikawa Botanical Garden or something similar sounds great.

\- Akihabara shopping

\- Local Live music. I’d LOVE to see local music. Jazz, rock, indie. I want to see the smaller music venues, and I have NO idea where to start.

\- Takeshita Street

\- Tokyo Dome City (regardless of if I see a baseball game there)

\- Golden Gai night

\- Arcades (This might lump into the Akihabara day?)

\- Shibuya Sky / Scramble, but these are not huge essentials for me, and if, especially Sky, is slammed during golden week I could give or take.

\- Nakano Broadway

\- Historical Site in Tokyo, but I’m not looking for a temple thats run like a tourist site if I can avoid it. I like my Disney schlock and I like my History but I don’t think they go hand in hand.

\- Open to a Sauna, Bath, Spa, spring type setup but really no clue where to start

\- I’ve heard Chinatown in Yokohama is fantastic.

Not looking to overbook every day and leave some room for discovery, but above is the itinerary and interests!

Edit: Removed comment about being tall, not what i’m really looking to talk about.
