Question about national tax refund

Hi, this was my first year doing taxes in Japan, for 2023.

I elected to pick up my refund at my local JP Post, but I’m having trouble figuring out when I’ll be able to do that. Can I just show them my tax form copies? I’m going to mail everything on Monday so could I just show them the forms then and get the refund?

I asked another foreigner at my job and she always does direct deposit, and said it takes about a month. I am hoping it won’t take that long if I just go to the post office myself with the forms.
