As of now, 36 countries (with 31 pavilions) have confirmed a contractor for their national pavilions.
41 countries have submitted General Design to Expo Association, 35 of which have been approved.
40 countries have started application process for a temporary building permit from Osaka authorities. Among them, 33 countries have officially submitted an application, 12 of which have already acquired the permit.
A total of 8 countries, including Singapore, China, Luxembourg, Ireland, Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan, Republic of Korea and Malaysia have already started construction work on their national pavilions. Among them, the design of three pavilions (Singapore, Ireland and Malaysia) have never been presented to the public.
Plots have been handed over to 22 countries, including Turkmenistan, China, Vatican, Italy, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, Malaysia, Switzerland, Austria, France, South Korea, Kuwait, Australia, Indonesia, Hungary and another unknown country.
