Would anyone be able to recommend nice neighbourhoods around kinshicho Or within a short commute to kinshicho station? I am 23 years old with a partner that only speaks English, so a place where young people live would be nice, to experience city life.
My work hours are flexible and allows wfh but I prefer heading to the office so was thinking if I was to head in 3/4 days a week I wouldn’t mind a longer commute if it meant I living in a more exciting area.
Maybe Yokohama (or somewhere along the yokosuka line) wouldn’t be bad as they have green cars so I could work during commute. Recommendations around Yokohama with a relatively easy commute would also be appreciated!
I heard the west is better so thought about kichijoji but heard the rush hour for sobu line is insane and am worried than even being flexible in my work hours won’t help much to avoid rush hour. Same for hanzomon line.
In terms of budget we’re looking at share houses for the time being because we’re quite social and prefer living with others. They’re usually a lot cheaper than apartments so it isn’t a big issue.
