My family and I are considering booking a hotel to ski in Niseko for March 2025 (spring break).
The Niseko hotel will not a offer a refund on the fully paid amount 60 days or less prior to check-in. The hotel suggests travel insurance.
Where can a resident of Japan buy insurance to cover hotel expenses if they become sick or there is an emergency while traveling within Japan? Is there a plan for residents of Japan?
I Google search and I find insurance plans but they are always for people overseas traveling to Japan.
