How I would handle Bullet Club Outcasts

Taiji Ishimori, KENTA and Chase Owens are in a weird position – they’re not in War Dogs, they’re not in House of Torture, but they’re still in Bullet Club. All three men have been in the group for a long, long time, and it’s time to give them a reset of sorts.

KENTA and Ishimori have been around for so long, it’s kind of hard to boo them at this point. Ishimori could remain a heel and still be effective – if he did, I think he’d actually fit in great with HOT. However, I think there’s more money to be made in Taiji reuniting with ELP and joining GOD.

As far as KENTA, he’s firmly set in on taking it easy at these later stages of his career, so you can’t pressure the man into being a killer that he was 20 years ago. KENTA is hard to boo, because he’s done so much and because of his charisma, but at the same time he isn’t a white meat babyface. That said, KENTA’s new home should be STRONG STYLE. It seems like SS might officially become an actual group sometime soon, so adding one of the OG’s of demolishing people into it seems like a smart move.

And finally, Chase Owens. He isn’t getting fired, so don’t get your hopes up. Owens is cheap, safe, loyal, and knows his role, so New Japan won’t fire him. With that said, SOMEONE higher up must be aware that people don’t like him, so why not make that a gimmick ? I think it’d be funny if NJPW did the opposite of Battle For Bam Bam, and instead did the Rejection of Chase lol. Have Owens try to join EVERY faction in the company (after War Dogs kick him out), but absolutely nobody takes him. This can go on for months and months, and depending on the fans’ reaction, the resolution could be a “aww, poor baby” face turn, or a continuation of a heel run for Owens.
